The Doctors at University Podiatry Group



Alan M. Singer, DPM

Dr. Singer earned his undergraduate degree from Queens College and received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1981 from the California College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his surgical residency and then entered into private practice in Los Angeles, before coming to UCLA as part of the University Podiatry Group. He frequently lectures for various seminars and is involved in resident teaching as Assistant Clinical Faculty within the UCLA Department of Medicine. Dr. Singer is also a past-president of the Los Angeles Podiatric Medical Society. He is board certified with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Singer serves as the current Chief of the Division of Podiatric Surgery in the UCLA Department of Surgery.


Robert K. Lee, DPM

Dr. Lee is a board-certified podiatric surgeon who offers comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for ailments affecting the foot and ankle. He has performed over a thousand surgical foot and ankle procedures, including common foot conditions such as bunions, neuromas, and hammertoes, as well as specializing in diabetic limb salvage, Charcot foot reconstruction, tendon repairs, foot and ankle arthritis, and ankle arthroscopy. He is also the current Chief of Podiatric Surgery at the Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center.

Dr. Lee graduated with honors from California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. He continued his training at a three year surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at the INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Northern Virginia before completing his training with a Lower Extremity Diabetic Limb Salvage Fellowship at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington D.C.
Dr. Lee is currently Assistant Clinical Faculty within the David Geffen-UCLA School of Medicine and has been involved with training of residents and fellows at UCLA Medical Center. He has also lectured for various conferences and seminars on multiple topics. In addition to being a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Dr. Lee has also attained the highest level of board certification offered by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. This certification in “Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery” has been awarded to less than five percent of podiatrists nationally.


Brendan M. Riley, DPM

Dr. Riley graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a B.S. in Pre-Medicine and a minor in Spanish.  He completed his doctoral degree at Des Moines University, College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in 2001.  He continued his training at a three year surgical residency in foot and ankle surgery in Los Angeles.  His podiatric medical interests include foot and ankle trauma, reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, and diabetic limb salvage.  He is also actively involved in residency training at the UCLA-Olive View Medical Center, where he is a clinical instructor.  Dr. Riley is also Assistant Clinical Faculty with the UCLA Department of Medicine. 


Ottoniel A. Mejia, DPM

Dr. Mejia attended the University of California at Riverside and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry with an emphasis in Biology. He attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine where he graduated with honors in 2005. He finished a comprehensive foot and ankle medicine and surgery training program at Kaiser Foundation Hospitals in Fremont and Hayward California. His interests are flatfoot reconstructions, rearfoot reconstructions, and limb salvage.


J. Braxton Little, DPM

Dr. Little is originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended the University of Oklahoma and received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Chicago, Illinois. After completing his residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Beverly Hills Medical Center in Los Angeles, he went in to private practice. Dr. Little is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has specific interest in reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle including arthroscopic repair of foot and ankle disorders. For the past six years he has been involved in the fellowship training of recently graduated residents wishing to advance their skills in foot and ankle surgery. He is past Chief of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Providence/St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California. Dr. Little has lectured on a wide range of topics in the field of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.


Virit D. Butani, DPM

Dr. Butani graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. He attended the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University where he earned his doctoral degree in 2011. He completed a three year surgical residency at Medstar Washington Hospital Center and Georgetown University Hospital. His training included adult and pediatric reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, foot and ankle trauma, elective procedures, sports medicine and diabetic limb salvage.  His interests include adult and pediatric flatfoot reconstruction, arthroscopic procedures, sports related injuries, trauma and diabetic limb salvage. Dr.Butani prides himself in providing comprehensive care from conservative measures to surgical intervention. Additionally, he is Assistant Clinical Faculty with the UCLA Department of Medicine.

Saieh Khademi-Davidson, DPM

Dr. Khademi-Davidson was born in Portland, Oregon but raised in Los Angeles. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California Los Angeles and continued her education with a Masters in Public health from the University of Southern California. She then earned her doctorate from the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland, California and returned back to her Bruin roots in Los Angeles to complete a three year foot and ankle surgical residency at the Department of Veteran Affairs Greater Los Angeles and UCLA/Olive View Medical Center. Dr. Khademi-Davidson’s training included surgical planning and operative techniques for elective and non-elective forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle reconstruction.

We are contracted through the UCLA Medical Group and our office accepts most insurance plans.

Co-payments are due at the time of service.
